It’s that time of year again! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is around the corner and all the fashionable people of the world are prepping for sale time! This sale is amazing because designer items are first “on sale” for a few weeks and then the price goes up after the sale ends. This means everyone can get a great deal on fall items before fall begins! If you’re an Instagramer, you’ve probably seen hundreds of fashion bloggers, celebrities, and models post about the sale and the items they’ve bought. I didn’t know about the sale until last year!
So this year I want in on the fun – and I want you to join me too! Here are the steps to shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale like a Fashionista.
There’s me happy as can be after a successful sale day recently! Aren’t sales the best?!1

Know The Dates
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public on July 22nd and ends August 7th. That means all the prices go up the very next day. But you can get in on the #NSale action even earlier when you sign up for a Nordstrom Credit or Debit card. Early access for card holders begins July 14th and ends July 21st.
Get Early Access
I know – you probably don’t want to add another card in your wallet just for a sale, but hear me out! If you want to shop to sale early and get the goodies before they’re gone (and they go fast) then signing up for a Nordstrom Credit or Debit card is a wise choice. I am personally taking the Debit card route for ease of use and budgeting. Despite stereotypes about fashion bloggers, I’m very firm about my spending habits – ain’t nobody got $$$ for a $1,000 purse….ok, well some people do. A Nordstrom Debit card allows me to shop the sale early access and enjoy the experience as well! A lot of popular items like riding boots and purses, get picked up right away and shop run out of stock. Get a card and you can pick one up before anyone else!
Have A Strategy
That being said, having a strategy is a great way to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale like a fashionista – because even chic women have a strategy to their purchases. Take a lesson from the best dressed women in the world and plan ahead. Look into your closet and see what autumnal items you might need to upgrade or buy. When I shop the Nordstrom Sale, I’m definitely checking out some Victorianesque Trench Coats (in the catalogue), Riding Boots, and Hats.
These are the items I either don’t have or get damaged every other year (I’m too much of an explorer to keep anything clean). I got riding boots (similar here) for the first time two years ago and actually went riding. Needless to say, farm mud and rough terrain gets those boots and clothing items pretty damaged.
So take stock – what could you use more of? What needs to be replaced? Having a strategy is a great way to get what you want without really fast. Remember, early access get’s you there first!
What I’m On The Look Out For
Military Trench Coats
Lace Up Boots
Fedora’s & Wool Hats
Black Skinny Jeans
Shop Online & Get Free Shipping
The best part of the sale is probably the ability to stay in your PJ’s, sipping your morning coffee, and watching Gilmore Girls on repeat (guilty!), and hitting “add to cart”. Total fashionista moment!
Nordstrom offers online access to the sale and FREE shipping! Those shipping costs can add up in other stores – especially when you’re getting a lot of things. Nordstrom will deliver your #NSale items for free!
Head Out To The Sales Early
Or head out to shop in stores. But make sure you are getting there early to beat the afternoon crowd. I’m heading to early access the very firs thing in the morning – but first, coffee. Make sure you have lots of energy if you’re just browsing.
