Best Beauty Advent Calendars of 2018

One of the funnest things to do during the holiday is open up unique advent calendars. Give me a good old chocolate or candy advent calendar and I can’t wait to jump out of bed each morning to open up the next door.

But beauty advent calendars take the advent calendar game to a whole other level.

What you normally have to buy full to try out you can try for the whole month. Getting a new beauty gift each day is surprising, exciting, and fun.

I just recently started doing beauty advent calendars after watching one of my favorite bloggers, Zoella, open up an advent calendar door a day for her holiday video series called “Vlogmas”, which essentially is when bloggers upload a vlog a day for the whole month of December. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

Anyways, seeing how much she got to try out in terms of beauty samples was very exciting to me. I love trying out new products and getting little samples whenever I shop.

The advent calendars are also a great gift (even self gift) because the price for the whole calendar is less expensive than getting all these products individually.

So for this holiday season, I wanted to share my favorite beauty advent calendars with you all in hopes that you find a beauty line you love and get to try a lot of different things out.

Best Beauty Advent Calendars of 2018

Ciaté London Mini Mani Month Nail Set: Try a different nail polish color each week of December until you find the perfect holiday mani color. This set is very valuable and would make a wonderful gift to a mother, aunt, sister, or friend. She’ll love trying out this luxury brands nail polish colors.

L’Occitane Holiday 2018 Signature Advent Calendar: This French based beauty brand is top notch for lotions and hand cremés. They offer a variety of different scents that you can try out in this exclusive advent calendar. I personally love their goats milk hand cream because of the rich and healing properties goats milk provides to dry and rough skin.

Clarins Advent Calendar Set: This set valued at over $161 is yours for under $60. Clarions makes wonderful skincare products as well. Their sunscreen and moisturizers for the face are very helpful in both summer and winter. Remember, just because it’s winter doesn’t mean you should stop wearing sunscreen! Try all these samples at a majority reduced cost in this advent calendar set.

NYX Professional Makeup Sugar Trip 24 Days Of Beauty Advent Calendar: Who doesn’t love NYX makeup? The brand is extremely affordable and the products work! I love stopping into CVS and getting a new lip color or brow gel from NYX. Try 24 of their products out with this lovely Advent Calendar.

Philosophy’s Guide to Warm and Cozy Advent CalendarHave you tried their holiday cookie shampoo and body wash? It’s heavenly. I compare their products to Bath & Body Work’s – their scented, they last, and the price point is wonderful. I honestly prefer Philosophy’s products because the scents are not a sickly sweet and aren’t overwhelming. Try out their warm and cozy advent calendar this holiday season for the ultimate luxurious and cozy winter night at home. (Part with this robe, of course)

bareMinderals 24 Beautiful Surprises Collection: In this advent calendar, you get 24 different lipsticks and lipglosses. That’s one different color you can try each day until you gin your favorite! Save it for Christmas Day and wow your guests or relatives. I love trying on new lip colors so I thin I’ll be getting this advent calendar for myself.

Elemis Holiday Advent Calendar: I have recently bought the Elemis Pro Collagen Elixir and it’s been the best thing for my fave after peel pads. I don’t even use a face moisturizer anymore because this is more than enough. If you have a chance to try this skincare line, I would. I highly recommend it and encourage you to get this calendar so you can find the perfect product for you. And if you don’t get this for yourself, gift it to a loved one who loves skincare!

Net-a-Porter’s 25 Day Advent Calendar: Although more on the pricey side, this is a very luxurious advent calendar which contains luxury brands like Sunday Riley, Le Labo, Dr. Dennis Gross, and more. This would be a lovely self gift and these downsized versions of their most popular products would be good carryon items.

Target Holiday Beauty Box: On the opposite side of the spectrum we have this affordable beauty box from Target which contains samples from makeup to skincare. This would make a great stocking stuffer or last minute gift! No shame in getting it for the “just in case” party show up or backup if a present is damaged. I love some of the brands at Target and I’m sure anyone would love trying this beauty box out.

Charlotte Tillbury Naught and Nice Magic Box: This box contains 12 of the best selling Charlotte Tillbury products including her lipsticks, eyeshadows, and masks. Not to mention, this is probably the most gorgeous advent calendar packaging I ever did see! Loving the pink and black motif for naught and nice. I would love to receive this as a gift *hint hint to my relatives and friends reading this hehe*

  • LAUNCHED AND LIVE: the new Petite Bijou logo created by the very talented designer @desnoir
-
I knew from the very start I wanted The Petite Bijou logo designed by Alaura. When I put together my first mood board, one of her logos caught my eye and I knew right away that Alaura was meant to bring my vision to life. A vision of a brand that resonated with the classically inspired woman.
-
That was over a year ago. At the time, I didn't have a single penny to put towards my brand. But I knew it that a year from then, I would have the perfect logo.
-
I built my mood board, looked at it everyday, and put every single dollar I earned from brand collaborations, affiliate sales, and advertising back into my brand. I started a new business just to fund my passion. I took on too many clients and burned myself out.
-
A year later. I'm proud to say this blog isn't just a blog, but a brand that has brought an amazing community together. I hired my first assistant, redesigned the site, and found Alaura. And I'm happy to say that we've now added a contributing writer to the site - one of my very own readers who felt aligned with The Petite Bijou mission of providing wholesome yet sophisticated life and styling tips to women.
-
I never intended this website to just be about me and my outfits. I want to share actual tips, reviews, and interesting editorial pieces. And the biggest motivation for me right now is hearing someone say "that's so Bijou" to me when they see something that would be a part of the brand that is elegant, sophisticated, and beautiful. You have no idea how amazing that is to hear! 😍
-
I have to thank @desnoir for making my dream brand a reality with a stunning logo that is SO BIJOU.
-
Here is the brand mantra that inspired it all: {Classic Elegance Simple Femininity, Intellectual Truths, Inspirational Mindsets}
And if these mantras resonate with you, join the Bijou community via the link in my bio. .

  • Raise your hand if you've seen this outfit before and it was labeled or hashtaged #frenchgirlstyle 🙋🏻‍♀️

Whatever traditional stereotypes you have about how French women dress, throw them out. Because they certainly don't all walk around Paris with striped shirts and red berets (great style staples, but not a must). Today on ThePetiteBijou.com, I am sharing 5 fashion faux pas French women avoid. Click the link in my bio to read the post.
-
At the heart of it, French women don't dress to "look" a certain way. It's all about having a wardrobe that fits their lifestyle, something we can learn from greatly. And while the outfit you see before you may be considered traditionally French, it is only one type of style choice that has become the epitome of The Parisienne...
