10 Beauty Blogs And Websites You Need To Follow

Ok, I might not have time to read all the blogs I possible can in a week. Heck, I can’t even keep up with my blogger friends. But on the weekends I do love get inspired in all things style, beauty, and wellness. I consider The Petite Bijou  a lifestyle guide for the women who loves to get inspired. And part of that journey is reading OTHER blogs. Yes, that means I leave my little circle and get inspired by reading other people’s websites. And you should too! Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about beauty trends, specially on the runway. So I’ve rounded up some of my favorite reads for you too! Check out these 10 beauty blogs and websites:

Into The Gloss

Into The Gloss is probably one of my favorite beauty websites to follow. Not only do they follow up on recent runway trends but they also feature interviews with makeup artists and discuss nutrition in relation to skincare.

The Beauty Department

Kristen Ess and Amy Nadine run The Beauty Department and they are both experts in their field. Not to mention that they’re BFF’s with our favorite lifestyle guru, Lauren Conrad!

  • What is one fashion item that is full of history and has become one of the most iconic things in the world?
The Trench Coat! First designed to be worn by military officers during trench warfare, this coat has become a staple in the lives of many and retains an air of elegance in the 21st century.
Today on ThePetiteBijou.com, I discuss the trench coat's iconic history and ways in which you can style it for an elegant and effortless look. We also answer the question: can I wear a trench with a long skirt? Something that is quite difficult to style. So head to the link in my bio to read the post!
What is your opinion on the Trench Coat? Do you own one? Do you think it's as elegant as people say it is? Leave a comment below 🧥

  • “If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need” - Marcus Cicero
I have a bigger library than I do a garden but I want them to be even bigger! 📚💐 Ever since becoming ill, I have learned to appreciate things which other people sometimes take for granted: holding and reading a book or simply walking through a garden and seeing nature at its work.
These things may be gone to us one day. We need to cherish the little jewels of life. This belief is the meaning behind “Petite Bijou” which translates from french into “little jewel”
So tell me, what is your Petite Bijou of life? 💕
  • For those new faces around here, welcome to The Petite Bijou. I’d love to introduce myself. For those who have been here a while, thank you for your continued support. I hope you learn a little something new about me today. How about we do this like a game show lightning round?
Name: Mariam
Business: The Petite Bijou & marketing strategist at @bijousocial
Years in the field: 3 years blogging, 7+ years in communications
Hometown: Chicago and I never left 😡
Best feature: Hmm, I’d say my mannerisms and charisma 😊
Worst quality: Impatient and a perfectionist to a fault. Things don’t get done because I keep trying to perfect it
First pet: A parrot!
Pet peeve: People loudly chewing gum, popping gum, and people who don’t say “Hello” back to you
Weekend hobby: Reading & Antique shopping
Ice cream flavor: Mint Chocolate Chip
Dream vacation: A transatlantic tour from New York to Southampton on one of the @cunardline ships! Then 2 months touring the British Isles.
Guilty pleasure: Cheese and Chocolate flights! I love trying them at restaurants.
Anything surprise you? Sound just like you? Make you wonder why this blogger you might want to check out sounds like she’s from a different era? 😂 Don’t leave me hanging...share something so I get to know you better too! #thepetitebijou

Creating a lifestyle to love makes you smile every day. It’s not about surrounding yourself with expensive and beautiful things but surrounding yourself with things that make you happy.
I surround myself with art, books, antiques, and delicate things that curate a simply luxurious feel! I always loved putting together mood-boards of how I wanted my life to look like & now I get closer and closer to those goals every day.
What makes you smile? What do you surround yourself with?

The last time I saw my family in France was 12 years ago & I remember thinking how fabulous my aunt and all her friends looked. They were timeless, elegant, and carefree. It was 50% of what they wore and 50% of how they wore it that really left an impression on me.
French style is so distinct yet so simple! You don't need a big or expensive wardrobe to recreate it and I'm sharing how in today's post.
