Bijou Sephora Beauty Insider Sale Picks

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

Just kidding. But it’s pretty close!

Let’s face it, when Sephora has a sale, you have to go. It’s the best time to stock up on beauty products. It’s a great way to save money. Sephora isn’t cheap, so shopping the sales is a wise strategy.

Below are my picks for the Sephora sale – I’m planning on ordering online on account of being too lazy to head to the store (I believe you can only use the code once online), but you can shop in stores too – as long as you present your code, you’re good to go.

Here are the codes and if you’re not signed up for their program, you can sign up here (don’t miss out on rewards):

Rouge members get 20% with code: YESROUGE

VIB members get 15% off with code: YESVIB

Beauty Insiders get 10% off with code: YESINSIDER

This Sephora sale ends on September 3rd!

Dr. Jart All That Contours Sheet Mask // Living Proof Perfect Day Hair Body Builder // Benefit Cosmetics Brow Pencil // Belief True Cream Moisturizing Bomb // Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Extra Strength Peel Pads // Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray // Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eye Shadow

I am particularly excited to get my peel pads. I wrote about them in this post, but they are a staple in my skincare routine. The peel pads can be a bit pricey, so stocking up on them now is a good idea. The recommended usage is daily but I opt in for every other day or every two days. You can get my full and strategic skincare schedule here.

The Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow is also something I am excited to purchase. This was used during my custom Sephora makeover for an event earlier this August. The shimmer is very lightweight and easy to apply, which means contact lens users can rejoice with me! Loose glitter eyeshadow tends to get all over your lens and on the rest of your cheek. Not this one…

And lastly, I am opting out of the bold brow for a more natural brow this fall. I think the bold brow look is nice if you have naturally full brows, but during the makeover, I learned I was better off not doing a very full look. Using a brow pencil, the makeup artist suggested I only lightly back fill the tail end of my brow and use a clear gel to set, That’s it! That’s all that’s needed.

You can find more of what the artist used on me on this page. But i do hope you find something useful at the Sephora sale!

What do you plan to get at the sale? Have you tried peel pads yet?

  • I meant to get a post out today.. I really did. But when things get messy, I like to step back and just focus my attention on the issue and not tire myself out. This is a huge problem I see when people try to “do it all”. NEWSFLASH: you don’t have to do it all and no one is expecting you to. Go somewhere (or stay indoors) and make sure that YOU are taking care of yourself in some way: meditation, spa, journaling, etc. one of my favorite things to do is walk. And I love walking to the stunning Japanese gardens in the @artinstitutechi 🌳

I love coming here to sit down with my coffee and listen to the water fountains while reading a book. It's a beautiful and serene place in downtown. And it's so lovely seeing everyone enjoy it. What is your favorite serene spot in your city or town? Leave a comment below ❤️ #thepetitebijou #artinstituteofchicago #chicagoigers #japanesegardens

  • Bringing 50s style to the cathedral. Much #Grantchester vibes. Anyone else watch mystery shows set in the 50s? I love Grantchester and Father Brown. All the characters look so smart in their period clothing! For an easy breezy 50's look, I love putting on a gingham dress paired with my oh so comfortable Oxford sneakers. • First it was the Gish sisters, then Ginger Rogers, then President Kennedy, and now The Petite Bijou! Honored to have stayed at @theblackstonehotel hotel and I'm taking you behind the scenes of this historical Chicago hotel in my first ever travel series on the blog called The Bijou Guide to Historical Chicago!
This hotel opened in 1910 and it still has all the glitz, glamour, and original history inside and out. • I have been a student for what can be best described as "infinity" amount of time. And two degrees, 3 whirlwind majors later, I have a few tricks and tips under my belt about how to survive college. So today I'm sharing 25 of my best tips for not only staying sane - but organized, efficient, and studious. There's some surprising tips there, so do check it out.
I want to know, are you in college right now? Tell us what you are studying ❤️ Are any of you later in life college students?
Here's my journey just in case you feel shy to share:
▪️Spent 5 years in undergrad getting a BA in History & Anthropology. Prepped to study abroad in Britain for my higher degree afterwards
▪️Decided not to pursue a higher degree in History, needed premedical classes I never took.
▪️Applied and accepted into a Post Baccalaureate medical school program. Started my blog during classes.
▪️During this program, couldn't pass Chem or Math (should have known), quit and took gap year doing more internships
▪️Took GRE but got rejected for Marketing and Communications programs due to low "math" score portion of GRE....ok then...
▪️Applied to my last option, got in, and got my Masters in IMC (Integrated Marketing Communications). Best decision ever, should have done it first and sooner.
So you see, it's ok if you're journey isn't doesn't matter. What matters is you find what works for you and you do a great job at it. My journey had ups and downs but in the end, my happiness was priority. #thepetitebijou #collegetips #backtoschool #universitylife #liketkit
