Dusky Blue Adventures

Outfit Details: Off the Shoulder Dress, Faux Leather Bag, Tassel Sandals c/o

Over the weekend, I took a small but lovely adventure to a nearby suburb where we shopped, ate, and took our time enjoying the scenery and just walking around in the fresh air. It was much warmer there than it was in the city. The warm temperatures were perfect for this new Skylar dusky blue off the shoulder dress I recently purchased. The dress is only under $70 and perfect for warm weather adventures.

I paired the dress with my new gold tassel sandals and this trusty faux leather zip top cross body purse which is perfect for adventures and under $30!

This dusky blue off the shoulder dress was so lovely to wear! It’s romantic and whimsical yet very trendy. When I first saw it I couldn’t help but think of Wendy from the animated version of Peter Pan. I think if the sleeves were a bit higher, this would have definitely been a “Wendy” dress.

I did say it was lovely, hut there was a couple of things I didn’t like about it as well.

  1. I ordered this dress online and it took a while to get all the crinkles and wrinkles out. Make sure that you have a good steamer or let it hang in the bathroom and turn on the hot shower. The steam should take out the wrinkles.
  2. My size is XS in this dress but I think I could have gone a size up. This dress is tight.
  3. Sitting down isn’t difficult with the dress, but definitely no crossing of legs. Too tight and shifts up.

I had a really great time and I am going back to this small suburb next Sunday in hopes of doing my first travel guide! Although next time, I think I am dressing down a bit and heading out in a tank and maxi skirt. This town is full of charm and I know I’ll be walking around looking at all the pretty houses and pretending to buy one (anyone else do this?). Hopefully the weather will be decent enough and shooting the guide will be no problem. I’m looking forward to the next adventure!

This dress is perfect on you! I haven’t really been a huge fan of the “off the shoulder” look this year, but this is super cute! I like that its not in your face, its nice a really nice basic dress that you could wear for almost anything!
