Elegant Spring Dresses For All

It’s the time of year again where we are all excited to wear elegant spring dresses: for special occasions and for everyday casual elegance.

With graduations, weddings, and spring soirees right around the corner, I wanted to share my favorite elegant spring dresses for this year. I absolutely adore the fit of the dresses I am about to share with you, but wanted to highlight my favorite dress in the whole collage (which I can’t stop wearing).

As you know, I am a big fan of the Gal Meets Glam dress collection because it offers modest and classic cut dresses which you have to look hard to find these days. The quality can be a hit or miss sometimes, depending on the dress. The price point isn’t for everybody. But when I do get a dress from that collection – it has to meet my standards.

The “Daisy” Dress

The Daisy Dress from the Gal Meets Glam Collection at first reminded me a bit of Little House on the Prairie. It was slightly…too girly girl when I first saw it. But after I tried it on, I loved it! So it makes me feel a bit more prairie romantic…nothing wrong with that, right?

I am wearing a size 0 and the fit was just right. The hem hits right below my knees and that’s perfect for upcoming graduation parties and birthdays. The sleeves are slightly scrunched and puffy but it’s not too bad when you put it on and move about. I felt really comfortable in this dress, so it was a winner for me.

I purchased this dress when it first came out (which I believe was the March collection) and it was the best fitting in the entire month’s collection on me. The rest of the dresses weren’t bad, the sleeves were just a tiny bit too big on me. I think that collection really emphasized sleeves but I’m not sure I liked that. Having tried on later collections (April), I am much more impressed, which is why I included some of the dresses I tried on below.

Below are some of my favorite elegant spring dresses for upcoming celebrations or for everyday wear. This is an interactive collage! So to shop a specific piece, you can click the dress you wish to shop by simply clicking it in the collage below. Or, use the links included below the collage if you are not using an accessible device at the moment.

2. Button Front Midi Dress

3. Courtney Rio Striped Maxi Dress

4. Sleeveless Drawstring Midi Dress

5. Jasmine Striped Maxi Sundress

6. Love of My Life Midi Dress

All these dresses are gorgeous and simple to wear. Add a wedged sandal here, a straw tote there, and you’re good to go! I love simplicity and these dresses are very easy to style with accessories you probably already have like dainty necklaces, a simple scarf, and a straw hat, In all honesty, I wear a straw hat I purchased at the Zoo one day because the sun was beating down on me and it was over 100 degrees. Everyone thinks that hat is more expansive than it is but I paid $10 and it’s the best accessory for summer dresses! I love combining items with different price points. And to be fair, I love pointing out where I got my hat hehe!

What is your favorite dress from the collage above? Have you checked out the Gal Meets Glam collection yet? I would love to hear your honest opinions about the collection…I think Julia is such a lovely person and the dresses are lovely, but some are a hit or miss depending on what kind of style you’re into. Also, I try never to make a judgement until I at least try on the dresses – like this Daisy dress, which I at first thought “no”

But after trying it on, I was really surprised and now I know I’ll be wearing this dress throughout the spring and summer. My brother’s graduation is coming up and I think I’m choosing this dress for the occasion! What do you think? Good choice?
