Get The Look: Agatha Raisin

You know that TV show you get hooked on where just watching one episode is not enough?

Well that show is Agatha Raisin for me, a British comedy-mystery series about a successful former PR guru who moves to the Cotswolds to fulfill her dream of an idyllic english country life….except murder cases to solve usually get in the way.

And the main character, Agatha, is very captivating and someone I connect with as a public relations professional. She’s quirky, confident, and often finds herself in the middle of trouble. She is a determined character who solves crimes with a sense of wit and charm!

So I decided to bring this series to The Petite Bijou by sharing my top outfits from the new season and how you can get the look yourself.

Look #1

For this look, get inspired with a pink or bright colored jumpsuit. This one is a great option, but any kind will do! Agatha coordinates with an orange tote and orange floppy hat, but I think any straw hat would look great as well. Accessorize with gold jewelry like stacking rings and a lovely gold watch. Agatha is also wearing nude espadrille sandals, which are great for any summertime outfit.

Look #2

In this look, Agatha pairs a long yellow blazer with a long sleeve green top. If you’d like to substitute a blazer for a coat, here is a good yellow option. There’s also dupes for her top here and here. She adds in hot pink pants (another option here) and teal pumps to match her top.. Agatha accessorizes with a blue tote and her signature gold jewelry. It looks like she is wearing a scarab beetle necklace, which I found a neat replica here.

Look #3

This outfit features Agatha in a printed maxi dress (here’s a similar midi one) that is accessorized with a black circle belt. She pairs is with her signature style – toned accessories. Here we have a yellow purse with matching yellow pumps. A high end purse with this style is this one, but a good dupe is this one. And these yellow pumps would work will for spring and summer soirees – or the occasional murder case to solve.

My biggest style takeaway from this character is her flavor for bright colors such as pinks, greens, and yellows. Agatha is not afraid to be matchy with her accessories and loves statement pieces. And she stands out from the crowd with not only her outfits, but charming and witty personality, which comes in handy when solving those murders!

    Hello,

I love the show “Agatha Raisin”, I love her style. Her hair, make-up, and the clothing is the “Bomb”, stylish and classic. She wears bold colors that normally wouldn’t look great because they do not match, but she makes it work! Please keep giving out ideas to replicate the Agatha style. Thank you for this forum!
