My Top Purchases at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

What a day! From the drive to Nordstroms all the way through trying to get my try on sessions imported so I can make my first Youtube Video. Every year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a whirlwind.

This year, early access has some amazing things on sale. I am more impressed by this years selection compared the previous years. The best part of it all, is that they have returned to more classic and elegant pieces for fall – no weird shapes, neon, or uber trends.

That is great news for Petite Bijou readers who all love timeless looks!

So I only shared a preview of what I tried on and purchased at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access. Today I want to share with you all my purchases and links to them! There’s a lot of beautiful pieces that are reduced in price (& will go up after the sale). I saved for MONTHS for this sale, so don’t be surprised lol.

I definitely stocked up for fall! I don’t really own any sort of fall or winter clothing (can you tell I’m a warm weather person?) And every year I always complain about it, so this year I can’t anymore!

The Dresses

SO many pretty dresses this year! I made an appointment with a personal stylist (definitely do this if you are shopping in stores!) and she took a look at my Instagram feed and brought me the most stunning dresses ever that would match my #aesthetic. Isn’t that just so sweet? We had a total of 40 dresses to try on! I spent 4 hours there just trying on dresses….so crazy but I felt so pampered!

Out of the 40 dresses, only 10 of them were from the sale. I’m not complaining, she said a lot of them were just not worth it for me and weren’t terribly petite friendly. Thanks for looking out for me Valentina!

But I did get this  floral print dress, this blue flapper-esqu dress, this beautiful Maggie London white one, and this yellow one for the end of summer! Eliza J making lovely dresses, as always.

The Tops

Tried some and mostly didn’t like how they fit on me except for 2. Madewell always makes soft and versatile t-shirts that are inexpensive. This one is a great basic tee (perfect for a Parisian inspired look!). And it’s only $11 during the sale!

The other top I tried on was this blouse which definitely has romantic vibes! Pair with a great skinny jean or skirt for a elegant but casual look. It fit true to size as well.

The Bottoms

Tried on several denim jeans but I already owned a pair that was part of the sale (or I think it’s really close to it – check out PAIGE denim, because I really haven’t needed new jeans since owning theirs). I wanted a pain that was red or burgundy for fall and tried on this pair. Loved how they fit and looked so I made the purchase.

The Outerwear

I’ve been wearing the same winter and fall jackets/coats from The North Face for about 3 years now haha! I think it was time for an update. To be honest, most coats and jackets at Nordstrom don’t really fit petites like me – so its hard to shop for stylish outerwear. But I did find some that will work over sweaters and layers.

This olive colored North Face windbreaker was very cute and oh so Kate Middleton. Perfect for fall and fit very well. I also ordered this yellow rain jacket by Pendleton, which also has English seaside vibes. It’s great for next spring too (always thinking ahead here). And lastly, purchased this Pendleton jacket which is very cozy and a great neutral color for s timeless look.

The Shoes

Just like always, I’m unprepared for winter. The first pair of shoes I purchased were these grey snow boots which will come in handy for Chicago winters. The second pair of shoes were these sling back flats which reminded me of Chanel slingback. They’re very cute and comfy which is great for everyday type of shoes!

The Accessories

I’m all for inexpensive accessories that look amazing (and expensive). This year I got a B.P tote purse, which is replacing my damaged Old Navy tote which looks similar. (The B.P tote is cheaper by the way). Then a black panama hat by Treasure & Bond (very lovely for fall). And lastly a pair of tortoise shell cat eye sunglasses to tie the look together.

I’m usually not very impressed by the accessories on sale – nothing new or that you can’t buy elsewhere that looks smilier and is less expensive. The purses are not a very good steal for the price point or how they look. Very underwhelming.

The Beauty Picks

Next to dresses, beauty is my favorite category at the sale! There’s always good deals there. Keep in mind, the stores will most definitely have crowded beauty sections. The Nordstrom I went to had one very narrow space for beauty jammed pack with about 20 people all trying to look at the same things. Depending on where you are, I suggest shopping beauty online.

I always get Bobbi Brown at the sale – ALWAYS. This eye and cheek palette was such a steal. The eyeshadows on their own are pretty pricey. Having them all together in addition to Bobbi’s wonderful cheek colors is a great investment.

Then, Dr. Dennis Gross stole my heart with a peel pad extravaganza! 100 something peel pads for the a bundle price under $200 (which you won’t find elsewhere). I use these daily for glowing skin and helping with scarring. Definitely did not pass up this deal!

And lastly, I got my 2 bottles of Lancome Youth Genefique serum because this is probably the Holy Grail of skincare serums. Use this daily too! And two for the price of one is a great deal.

So that’s what I got specific to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. But I did get some dresses that were just regular sale items from the Gal Meets Glam collection. The rest of my Nsale picks are on my shop page here. So many beautiful things there, but I did cut through a lot of unimpressive items to only bring you the best.

So do check out the shop page here and let me know what you think! As always, your support is so appreciated when you buy from my links. It helps keep this blog going and providing inspiration to women just like you!

Thank you <3
