Well, sort of. Parisian chic is my go-to look for autumn, for a very good reason: It’s never out of style.
The key to achieving that chic fall look is knowing how to dress for your body and desired look. I choose staples that fit and serve a purpose. My idea of the perfect chic outfit is largely based on my love for the glamour of the 1930’s and 1940’s. Why those era’s you might ask?
Well, because I LOVE them, but more importantly = that’s always been my definition of elegance. Those decades, to me, say glamour and elegance. The long skirt with a long sleeve top and floppy hat create a cohesive outfit. I’ve stuck to a neutral color theme to create the ultimate sophisticated look.
I love a good accessory, and it’s important to know which one works the best with your desired overall look. This beige purse is my favorite because it’s easy to carry and fits my most basic accessories : phone, pen, red lipstick so I can keep re applying over and over. You know what I mean.
Large oversized sunglasses allow you to add that allure and mystery to your chic look. “Whose behind the glasses and hat?” they’ll say.
These cute kitten heels scream glamour and elegance – but not in a modern way. I chose to stick with my 1930’s theme and wore these T-Strap heels to match. Kitten heels like these are perfect because, ladies:
You do not need sky high heels to convey elegance and luxury

I really miss Paris, but I find little gems and bijou’s around my hometown that remind me of Europe. It’s a lovely feeling = dreaming you are somewhere else.
And dressing the part is a breath of fresh air. Although I love some of the modern looks women wear for autumn (here’s to you vest and infinity scarf gals) – I just don’t see those trends conveying a timeless elegance – they are more college-esque. But thats what trends are, they come and go. Elegance however, stays forever.
And that’s ok – not everyone needs to be elegant all the time. But it’s a nice thing to do for yourself and for special occasions. And shouldn’t every day be a special occasion? I think so.
