I don’t usually do “drugstore brand” beauty or skincare products. They often contain really really bad chemicals and also just don’t seem to do as good as a job as higher end brands.
Maybe it is just all down to brand perception. The higher the price, the higher the quality.
And more often than not, it seems to be true.
Except for this brand, a brand that I have discovered a year ago and that has graciously sponsored me with samples to try for the first time. Well, I have been seriously impressed. And as you know, when a brand gifts me products, I always take a few months to try them out before publicly promoting them. If I don’t feel it’s worth showing, I don’t. If I have critical reviews, you’ll know.
Pixi Beauty is a brand that is avaliable at Target – yes you read that right, Target.
So when they reached out to me, I wasn’t sure if my audience would like a drugstore brand like this. Many of my readers have shared the same thoughts as me when it comes to skincare brands. We most definitely splurge on skincare because of our shared experience.
Expensive works. For some reason, all the expensive skincare products I have tried have been AH-MAZING.
Breaking the Expensive Stereotype
I currently use several different expensive skincare options. (See here for the post on which ones) and I have stated integrating Pixi Beauty into my skincare routine and have found that some of the Pixi products rival the expensive brands I use.
For example, the Pixi Glow Tonic has been a very good quick fix for when I don’t have any Alpha Beta Peels left (hey, they’re $88 a box – i can’t always afford them).
Another great dupe is the Pixi Rose Glow Mist, which rivals Evian’s signature spray (love evian, but not the price tag for a small bottle).
The Rose Cream is a wonderful dupe for literally any rose hand cream you may find (L’Occitane). It goes on so smoothly and has helped me with this horrible winter we have been having.
Last week I literally had red hands from overfishing to prevent germs. The rose hand cream really helped when I slathered it on overnight and woke up the next morning. It’s not very heavy and feels soothing.
Another great dupe? The Rose Oil!
If you have ever tried the Jose Maran Argan Oils, you know they are heavy and can cause some mild acne if you have sensitive skin. The Pixi Rose Oil is a great dupe for it. The rose oil is quite light and definitely more moisturizing than the argan oil. I didn’t feel the need to wash it off right away because it was too heavy.
Other Pixi Beauty Products I Am Loving
Have you tried this magical brand? Let me tell you – products aside, I have been treated with the upmost respect and kindness from this brand on the influencer/campaign side. They truly do care about their audience, their influencers, and how their brand helps women in their daily lives. I had the pleasure of meeting the team behind Pixi Beauty and it was like meeting my long lost sisters! They made me feel amazing – as a blogger with a disability, as someone who wants to help other women, and just as a person.
I highly encourage you to try one of these amazing products and come back here and let me know if you enjoyed it or not! I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
