Am I too late to get in on summer fun???
A ridiculous question, no doubt, but something I had been asking my self for the past week as I looked through my closet for summer prints I could wear. Surprise surprise: my all neutral, all black closet had nothing “summer” in it. I’ve been planning warm weather trips and it suddenly dawned on me: “Am I too late for summer?”
I definitely felt left out (although I shouldn’t have felt that way). But the first thing I thought of were my vacations. How was I going to go to Florida with cardigans and black jeans in my suitcase? I’m not on a business trip!
I knew I had to change this. So I sat down on the computer and started looking for all things tropical print. I am NOT going to let this summer pass me by again. I want to enjoy it, damn it!
It’s never too late to get tropical prints into your summer wardrobe. So today I’m sharing ALL my tropical print finds. Get yours ASAP & ENJOY them!
TROPICAL PRINT TOPS
If you still want to be summery and tropical but don’t want to go all the way, a tropical print top is the way to go. Below are my favorite tropical print tops that are also budget friendly! (the point here is to get one of everything so you have multiple apparel & accessories to choose from when you do a day to night outfit)
These are my favorite because you only need one staple piece to make a statement. A dress is the perfect staple piece for summer. Plus, the prints are varied and so are the styles, which means you can probably find something you like!
ROMPERS & JUMPSUITS
Rompers and jumpsuits are so playful for summer and it’s not too late to get one of these for a lovely day or night out on the town or strolling by the beach. Granted, they’re hard to adjust to but once you wear one, you’ll want to keep wearing them. Why? Because it’s so simple, you just put it on and go! 1 piece, 1 pair of shoes, 1 purse and you are set for the day.
For my Miami trip, I am definitely considering a palm print swimsuit! They are so cute and make your summer extra magical (however, a unicorn float probably makes all the difference). Check out some of these amazing tropical print swimsuits below!
Sure, you can wear the old t-shirt and flannel PJ bottoms to bed (yes, that’s me). But since I plan make my summer as stylish and exciting as possible, I am going to get a tropical print PJ! I bought one from ASOS with toucans on it (so cute!).
Not a huge fan of the tropical prints but still want to sport that summer vibe? Tropical inspired shoes are the perfect option! I got these palm print flats recently and they look really stylish with black trousers – so definitely work friendly! Check out some tropical print options below.
The less is more approach also works with accessories. They tropical print accessories make great statement pieces and will add that summery vibe wherever you are: work, home, on vacation. Mix and match but don’t over do it! Just one accessory with a print is fine. If you must mix print accessories, make sure your outfits are neutral or solid colors.
TROPICAL PRINT STYLING TIP
Be weary of mixing too many prints all at once, as it can definitely be overkill. Below is a perfect example of a “just right” tropical print outfit combination.
